Setting up default hosts

Setting up default hosts

Visitors always need to be checked in against a host, sometimes a visitor might turn up as an unplanned (or uninvited). Having a default host gives you the option to check a visitor in against a generic company host (i.e. the default one)
You must be an administrator for your building or company to do this
You have either an existing host that you want to turn to default host or  Add a host first. When creating the host, you may want to name it after a generic name for your entity e.g. 3rd Floor Reception for respectively First-name and Last-name.
Once you have the default host, o pen the main menu and select  Users and occupiers:
  1. Click on the company entity, below 3rd Floor Reception Host, that has the host to be turned to default. Make sure you select a company entity (or host container), i.e. one with theicon next to it
  2. This should have turned the company line to blue and on your right hand-side click on Edit

In the new screen, see below, scroll down to the Default host field:
  1. In the Default host field, please enter the host name that you wish to set up as default, e.g. 3rd Floor Reception. Whilst typing this name, the system will present it to you
  2. Click on the blue Update button

You will now be able to see this host when creating an unplanned appointment against the 3rd Floor Reception entity.
If you wish to delete it, please repeat the same sequence of steps and once in the Edit page of the occupier (screen above), select the B in icon next to the default host. Press the blue Update button
