Where to send arrival notifications
By default your notifications of visitors arrivals are sent to your current email address - the one you use to sign in to Bluepoint.
You might want to send your notifications to a different email address or more commonly add someone else to be notified of the arrival of your visitors. This could come handy between a director and the secretary
The steps below describe a set-up that will be permanent and applicable for all your appointments to be planned. However shall you wish to do it only on a appointment per appointment basis, this can be done whilst creating your appointment in Bluepoint where you simply add a second host.
Using the
Search, and selecting
Staff. Type your name or the name of the user you're looking to amend - in that case see restrictions at the bottom of the page.
In the
Notification email field, enter the email address(es) on which you would like to be notified.
Email addresses have to be separated by a comma. Should you wish to add someone else don't forget to add yourself too as per below
Hosts can change their own notification email addresses ; however for this to be done on behalf of someone else, you have to be a receptionist, operator or administrator
There is also a possibility to set up the visitor arrival notification so that, not only it goes to more than one host, but to for example a whole department. Typically, you may have a small HR department that insists for every visitor arrival notifications to be sent to everyone in the department. This is also a practice that could be used between a ground floor reception and a floor reception team whereby the floor reception team may want to receive notifications for all the visitors destined to its floor - in addition to the notifications sent to the hosts.
