Checking visitors in

Checking visitors in

There are several ways a visitor can be checked in:
  1. QR code on the email invite - either printed or on their phone
  2. Pin on the email invite
  3. Using their name
You need to be a Receptionist (receptionist profile) to be able to check people in and out of the building.
Click on Check-in on the top of the Bluepoint homepage or from the main menu.
  1. Visitor holds up their phone to the QR reader screen
  2. You will hear a beep and the check-in screen will change
  3. When the appointment is displayed, select the tick to the left to complete your visitor check-in
  4. Depending on your building setup, you will then be asked to either add a pool card number (and then type return on your keyboard) or directly print the required paper-pass

Once the visitor is checked in, the host is instantly notified that the visitor has arrived.
Depending on your building setup, the visitor might be placed in the virtual lobby whilst waiting for the host.

5. Make sure you mark this visitor as entered to clear the virtual lobby when the host has taken charge of the visitor.
If your building has Bluepoint enabled QR readers on the building speed gates, the visitors can scan their QR code on the gate and go straight through. For example, a contractor can be issued with an access control card from Bluepoint. Their access privileges from the access control system are applied via Bluepoint. Once their visit is complete their access control card is expired, ready to be used again. Visitors who only need access to common areas with limited access can be issued either a card or QR code pass.
