Loaning and Returning an Asset
Once you have created your Assets, users will be able to loan out the items, which will be explained in this article
You can loan them out on the same screen after the asset has been created, or by using the Search function (blue top banner).
Click on the green Loan button and the following screen will pop up:
1. Expected Return - Click on the calendar icon
to select the relevant date and click on the clock
icon if you need to edit the time. This will be limited to the Loan duration set, when you first created the asset. However, you can decrease or increase the time if applicable
2. Check this box if you wish to Extend the length of the expected duration of the loan (this will only appear if this option was enabled when the asset was created)
3. Onsite recipient - start by adding the recipient's name. If they have a profile within Bluepoint, the name will appear as a suggestion underneath to select
4. If the recipient is not from the site, click on the Offsite recipient tab and enter their email address. Click on the blue Search button to see if they have been a visitor previously. If they have, the name will display, otherwise it will ask you to enter their contact details, as shown below
5. Enter any relevant Notes if required
6. Once you have completed the form, select the green Loan button.
Once you have loaned out your asset, you will have the ability to mark the item as Lost, Request the the item to be returned, Extend the duration of the loan and mark the asset as Returned
If you have requested the asset to be returned, the recipient will receive a notification email. Once the item has been returned, click on the green Return button and you will have the option to mark the asset as stored
